Our Production Studio aka Spectrum Studios is equipped with industry standard equipment and software’s for filmmaking and animation. From high end computers equipped with the latest software’s like Adobe, Davinci, Unreal Engine, Krita, and Ableton to a virtual production workflow with cyclorama greenscreen, we have everything you need and more to fulfill your film ideas.

Saturday Morning Cartoons
Saturday Morning Cartoons is an exciting program for aspiring animators to explore and develop their skills in 2D classical animation and other media.
The program includes both an individual component and opportunities for collaboration with other participants. Participants may choose to work independently on personal interest projects, developing their skills through exploration and experimentation with various accessible software under the guidance of our talented and caring staff. As a fun collaborative option, we always have several group projects on the go, where participants can contribute to fun tandem animation exercises!
Saturday Morning Cartoons is a fantastic introduction to animation, helping participants foster artistic, technical and social growth.
Advanced Saturday Matinee Cartoons
Advanced Saturday Matinee Cartoons is next level! Expanding on acquired animation and storytelling skills, with a focus on a project-based animation pipeline; participants are encouraged to create a short animated film as a group. We also dedicate time for participants to develop their skills and reach their personal goals within animation, including some fun challenges and exercises, in order to broaden understanding of the process from A to Z.
Each week, we begin with a video presentation which showcases a specified animation principle or technique. An optional animation challenge will then be given for participants to work on for the rest of the session, taking an inspiration break midway through to watch a fun animated short film. At the end of day we usually share our work to celebrate our progress and engage in building a creative and robust animation community.

A deposit will be requested upon registration to confirm your spot. Full payment is due before the first day of programming.
If you have not attended Spectrum Productions programming before, we will invite you to an intake interview before programming starts. This friendly interview will help us get to know you, and for you to tour our Montreal studio!

All participants, new and returning, must go through this registration portal for each new term; there will be no exceptions. Priority re-registration is given to those who currently attend a program. If you would like to maintain your spot, you must respect the re-enrollment deadline.
There is an intake process for all new registrations to ensure that registrants are enrolled in the program best suited for their interests and goals. If you haven’t attended programs at Spectrum Productions before, we want to get to know you in a friendly interview before approval for a program to ensure we have found the best fit for you!

A deposit is required for each program registration to confirm your spot. Full payment is due on or before the first day of programming. If not paid by this date and no contact has been made to our team, the application will be cancelled and the spot is offered to applicants on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.

First and foremost, we want to see a desire to explore animation in any of its forms.
Second is a desire to work in a room full of others excited about creating.

Our programs will fill up to a max of 15 participants per program. We have found this is the optimal capacity of our studio, one that allows for a fun and sensory friendly experience.

No, you do not need any experience. Our only requirement is to be willing to work in a group and a desire to create shorts animations!

Our program staff are well trained to support our participants. We have many spaces in the studio dedicated as quiet spaces as well as noise canceling headphones. Feel free to send a inquiry to info@productionsspectrum.com about accommodations.

If you wish to bring a snack, you can as it is peanut and tree nut free. We have an abundance of state of the art equipment as well as various art supplies.
