ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

I, Filmmaker: A Festival of Self-made Stories celebrates the resilience and creativity of neurodiverse, disabled, D/deaf, and other marginalized artists, showcasing their diverse perspectives and innovative approaches in overcoming barriers to artistic expression, while inspiring audiences with the multitude of pathways and tools available for transforming creativity into a sustainable career.

New Stories

Playwright’s Workshop Montreal joins Spectrum Fest 2024 to present The New Stories Project a Montreal storytellers unit which offers accessible creation workshops, as well as customized development labs and additional support, to emerging and established neurodivergent theatre-artists.

Putting it all Together

Elizabeth Lazebnik will explore their career as an artist and open the discussion around grant options for independent creators.

Filmmaking the FREE Way

This workshop, led by Spectrum staff, will provide some information on the free tools available to creators to tell their own stories, like Unreal Engine. Afterwards, discover a selection of trailers from the Spectrum studio, plus a surprise announcement!
