After losing all his money in a failing venture of a Hummus Oatmeal product line, the entrepreneur Peter S. Oatmeal needs to look for cheap rent in the outskirts of town. Just in time, he stumbles upon a fully-furnished, perfectly fine room for $10/month. Peter S. Oatmeal is brimming with excitement to meet his new roommates Zippy the Pig and Arthur the Aardvark, but when he steps into his new room, he discovers an unsettling fact about his new home… With a little help from the polylinguist and world-famous repairman Fredmen and some surprises from Conductor Macri, the roommates embark on solving the mystery of the Curious Apartment.

Après avoir perdu tout son argent dans l’échec d’une entreprise de gruau à l’humus, l’entrepreneur Peter S. Oatmeal part à la recherche d’un logement à bas prix dans un coin reculé de la ville. À la dernière minute, il trouve une chambre meublée tout à fait acceptable... pour 10 $ par mois! Peter S. Oatmeal a très hâte de rencontrer ses nouveaux colocs, Zippy le cochon et Arthur l’oryctérope. Mais quand il emménage dans sa chambre, il découvre quelque chose d’inquiétant à propos de son nouvel appartement… Avec l’aide de Fredmen, un homme à tout faire polyglotte et célèbre dans le monde entier, et grâce à quelques surprises du chef d’orchestre Macri, les colocs entreprennent de résoudre le mystère du Curieux appartement.
