This week's Extra Feature is a sneak peek TEASER for a new project from Spectrum's own Adrien Nicholas titled The Wolf's Quills. Adrien began work on this awesome teaser during Creative Media Lab in 2020, and it was one of the first animated projects he's ever done!
The Wolf's Quills is a story set in 2071 in the city of Tyrasaur. It follows 17-year-old Scarlet Yeager, an autistic high school girl who is just surviving the usual campus drama. She really wants to be an animator, but her plans are turned upside down when she learns that a great evil threatens the existence of her home. Will she be able to save the world or lose her life?
In a recent interview, Adrien shared that he wanted to bring this story to life through animation, and though he planned to complete it in a certain amount of time, he realized that making a great animation takes a lot longer than he thought, but is so worth it! He was really proud to see his own creation on screen during Spectrum Fest 2022!

Cette semaine, l'Extra Feature est un TEASER d'un nouveau projet d'Adrien Nicholas, de Spectrum, intitulé The Wolf's Quills. Adrien a commencé à travailler sur ce superbe teaser pendant le Creative Media Lab en 2020, et c'est l'un des premiers projets d'animation qu'il a réalisés !
The Wolf's Quills est une histoire qui se déroule en 2071 dans la ville de Tyrasaur. Elle suit Scarlet Yeager, 17 ans, une jeune fille autiste au lycée qui ne fait que survivre au drame habituel du campus. Elle veut vraiment devenir animatrice, mais ses projets sont chamboulés lorsqu'elle apprend qu'un grand mal menace l'existence de sa maison. Sera-t-elle capable de sauver le monde ou de perdre sa vie ?
Dans une interview récente, Adrien a expliqué qu'il voulait donner vie à cette histoire par le biais de l'animation et que, bien qu'il ait prévu de la réaliser en un certain temps, il s'est rendu compte que la réalisation d'une bonne animation prend beaucoup plus de temps qu'il ne le pensait, mais qu'elle en vaut vraiment la peine ! Il était très fier de voir sa propre création sur l'écran pendant le Spectrum Fest 2022 !
