A huge thanks to our community for coming together to celebrate our 11th Anniversary gala, helping us raise $43,065 and counting
Last Sunday we hosted our VERY FIRST VIRTUAL GALA and it was a SUCCESS thanks to all of you! Friends and family tuned in from all over Canada, stretching from Quebec to British-Columbia! Some of you even joined us all the way from Australia, Guadeloupe, Bulgaria, United States, United Kingdom, France, Chile and India!
We want to say a HUGE WIZARD DONKEY THANK YOU to all 182 of you who showed up to celebrate autistic talent. We loved seeing your faces in the social lounge and reading your comments in the discussion!
We were delighted to introduce 33 autistic filmmakers on screen and with interviews about the virtual filmmaking experience. All 8 films were made during our virtual summer camp, with the help of our 11 wonderful camp staff and 5 volunteers. To adapt to the creative style of all, a flex-camp model built off the Rough Cuts adaptation was attended by Robin Mahar and Owen McDonough delighting the crowd with vacuum man and great whale classics.
These camps, alongside other opportunities for autistic creatives in our year round programs, are made possible by our gala fundraiser ticket sales as well as YOUR donations.
