ARTISTIC NETWORK

ENGAGING WITH ART AND THE COMMUNITY

In-Studio Programs

We offer a variety of year-round programs, clubs, and summer summer camps that are designed to help young filmmakers explore aspects of film and media production.

  1. Do you want to collaborate with other autistic or neurodiverse artists on personal projects?

  2. Are you new to the world of film and want to learn to basics?

The Artistic Network is perfect for autistic and neurodiverse artists who want to continue to explore, learn, and create with others. At Spectrum Productions, we aim to improve access to artistic practice for all autistic creatives and build recognition for autistic creative talent within the arts community in Canada.

The Artistic Network will engage creators of all levels and introduce the world of film and media production. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore different aspects of film and media production through programs and workshops and identify areas of interest

  • Learn and hone new skills

  • Collaborate on creative projects with other autistic and neurodiverse artists, make friends and have fun!

  • Share completed films and productions with the world through Spectrum Productions’ social media platforms and through our public screening events like Spectrum Fest and/or the Annual Gala and Screening.

The artistic network is the community foundation of the SCN and acts as both the first introduction to the world of film and media production and the jumping off point for individuals seeking to pursue professional creative career pathways. As participants identify interests and establish goals, they can choose to access opportunities for education and later, for employment, but can always participate in the Artistic Network as mentors, contributing artists and friends.

SPECTRUM FEST

Is our public film festival launched in 2018 that showcases short and feature films produced by autistic artists. This initiative is a means of dissemination that enables us to reach and engage with the larger arts community and share the creative talents of autistic artists.
